Greetings and Happy New Year Hydrangeaphiles!
2015 is going to be a VERY EXCITING year for hydrangea enthusiasts. You will not want to miss any of these important dates.
The American Hydrangea Society is proud to welcome one of its Past Presidents, Sara Henderson, as the guest speaker at the AHS Fall lecture meeting on Tuesday, October 28. She is presently the Director of Gardens for Historic Oakland Cemetery, a 48-acre Victorian garden cemetary in the heart of Atlanta.
The winter of 2014 was cruel to the Hydrangea gardens in zone 7a and 7b and other zones, which experienced record cold temperatures and multiple late freezes and frosts damaging hydrangea buds of macrophyllas and serratas and even some quercifolias.
