Greetings from cold Atlanta!
Hope you have been able to stay warm and sit by the fire.
I’m so worried about a late freeze. Today it is very cold, 35 degrees. But yesterday it was in the 50s. My hostas have started to peek through the leaf cover. Tiny buds are starting to show on my hydrangeas, and I hope they stay little for at least a few more weeks.
This spring there are some fabulous happenings for us in the Society. Elizabeth Dean, co-owner of Wilkerson Mills, will be speaking to us on Feb. 26th. The Southeastern Flower Show will be happening from March 15th – 17th. A most special treat awaits our membership in April. Robert Mallet, creator and overseer of The Shamrock Collection in France, will be coming to speak with us about The Collection – a rare treat – on April 18th! Saturday, May 11th will be the AHS Plant Sale at Bulloch Hall. We need volunteers for the Flower Show and BullochHall. Details are in the newsletter.
Keep praying for rain and hope the temperatures stay moderate for the next several weeks, so we have a fabulous Tour in June on the 8th.
Can’t wait until Spring!!!!!.
Have fun and see you soon.
