Happy Fall!

Hope all of you survived our very long and hot summer without losing too many plants. I know that my garden looks the worse for this hot weather.

The Garden Tour in June was spectacular. We had many more ticket sales than last year. Our membership turned up by the droves, and we were blest with a beautiful day — not too hot with sun and some clouds. Ideas were floating all over the place for people's own gardens and how they could be improved. Bravo to Gloria Ward and Eva Kinney for pulling it off with such panache!

Our next meeting will be Oct 23rd at 7 pm. Our guest speaker will be Kristin VanHoose, owner of HydrangeasPlus in Washington state. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful speaker who can tell us all the ins and outs of growing hydrangeas for mail order.

Put it on your calendars now, so you won't miss this exciting meeting. We also will be talking about our Plant Sale next May, as well as voting for board members.
