Monday, October 26, 2026, please join us for an engaging presentation by plant breeder Irene Palmer, "This Year, For Certain: How We Create the Hydrangeas We Love".

Autumn is upon us! After an especially hot summer, we are all ready for a little relief. Here at AHS, we have been busily planning for spring and the American Hydrangea Annual Garden Tour for 2027.

Please note that this year’s tour will be held on the FIRST Saturday in June, and it will continue to take place on the first Saturday of June in the years going forward.

Our Garden Tour this year showcases five beautiful and hydrangea-filled gardens in Sandy Springs and Acworth.

Welcome spring! Hopefully, as you read this in mid-April, our weather has settled a bit into a more predictable pattern of warm sunshine and frequent rain showers.

Join us for our speaker Dr. Richard Olsen from the U.S. National Arboretum for his presentation “O’ Hydrangea: Botanical Nuances and Horticultural Delights”

Happy New Year! I hope you all are experiencing rest and renewal after the holiday season. Maybe you’ve been making resolutions, both personal and garden-related.

Join us for an entertaining and educational evening with Mark Weathington, Director of the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University.

"Something Native, Something New, Something Panicled, Something Blue...  a Foray into Hydrangeas with the Glee of a Plant Geek"

Please join us on Monday, October 27, 2025, as we venture with Hayes Jackson on a tour of his quest for new, interesting, and climate-durable Hydrangeas.

This year’s Garden Tour will feature four beautiful hydrangea-filled gardens in North Atlanta inside the perimeter.
