2026 AHS Fall Meeting

Please join us for an engaging presentation by plant breeder Irene Palmer, "This Year, For Certain: Stories and Insights from a Decade of Hydrangea Breeding".
Irene Palmer is a Research Specialist in the Department of Horticultural Science at the Mountain Horticulture Crops Research & Extension Center, North Carolina State University. In her talk, Irene will explore the breeding and development of new and improved native hydrangeas, as well as the creation of complex hybrids.
Attendees will discover emerging species of interest, gain practical tips for backyard hydrangea hybridization, and get a glimpse into the future of hydrangea breeding. We hope you’ll join us for this fascinating look at the evolving world of hydrangeas!
